The inshore fishermen of Vietnam use these basket boats to skim the waves when fishing for small fish, lobster and prawns. They set their nets each day and collect the catch between dawn and 8am. After fishing, they haul their boats up into the dunes to let them dry in the sun.
From the spindly pine trees that line the dunes, there is a view of th eCham Islands that seem to float on the morning mist as the sea heats the ocean. This is one of Bridget's favourite places because there is something calming about the resting boats and slop slop of the waves.
