35 x 46cm Japanese ink on Chinese paper mounted on linen scroll

Jean Cabane has dedicated his life to ink painting for over 20 years. He and his ink commune together to create something emotional.

This work is part of a small collection that has been produced for a cultural exchange between two ink painters. Two years ago, they met and worked together in Nanjing, China. Now, they meet again in Hoi An, Vietnam. Each has a different message in their work.

Jean Cabane describes his work as visual poetry. What he has on his mind, while he paints is his travels in the mountains of northern Vietnam. What appears on the paper is a dance between gorgeous Japanese ink and exquisite Chinese paper. The best of the best play a game under the hand of a poetic French artist. It is like alchemy.
