Duc Bet lives and works at the heart of the artist community here in Hoi An. He is a graduate of the University of Fine Arts in Ha Noi but has lived and worked in Hoi An for over 10 years.

Duc landscapes and  romantic urban scenes of Hoi An are painted in the impressionist style and glow with the warmth of the yellow ochre walls.

When painting about spirituality and what it means to be a father, he is a surrealist. The hands in his paintings represent the ancestors. Whispy lines, tendrils and roots represent the guardian spirits that surround us all.
